The types of boats we sail - and push our kids towards - has an effect. I never sailed an Opti as a child, but find that my two love pottering around in them, yet mnay at the club can't wait to move on. The fourth boat in the Edwards fleet is a Mirror - young George had a fantastic time crewing for me in the Nationals last week. When he's not coming for a ride on the Moth, I think I'll find myself doing more Mirror sailing: teaching him the joy of racing one to one on the water. In the UK we have a fixation with ...Agree with you. In the UK we have a fixation with kids having to perform in squads with overly ambitious parents pushing them on. Only a few learn the joy of sailing and stick with it.<br /><br />Thierry did take many pictures but he puts them in a secured part of his site.
