Explain the bowsprit seen on some of the foilers in the video--is that just an updated way to deploy the control wand or does it have an additional function?
The International Moth class rules have tolerances for bow and stern fittings (exploited to the max for a rudder gantry.) I think a wand strut forward would be there to sense water height a fraction of a second sooner when compared to mounting the pivot on the bow stem.
